"A View From Across The Pond" an Englishman's personal view of the week's news in the USA - from Erithacus

 

7th October 2001 

Just as I was about to upload this week’s "View From Across The Pond", I heard the news that the USA together with British forces had started military action in Afghanistan. 

Somehow, everything I had written suddenly paled into insignificance.

I may upload it later in the week, but for the moment I feel it more appropriate simply to express my hope for a minimum of casualties, and minimum disruption to the lives of ordinary people wherever they are.
